@Zythria To boil it down its simply
1. Pay directly with no interference from a middle man and trust the other party won't run with your money
2. Pay through a middle man and hope the middle man doesn't run with your money, it's that simple.
This is not new, people only care about it suddenly because it's now starting to affect ppl they care abt. Where were you yrs ago when this has been happening to others? Also solution: use crypto (self-custodial), decentralized, noone can ban you, you control your own money.
Payment processors are increasingly restricting adult content creators.
PayPal has started issuing permanent account limitations to artists who accept payments for lewd or adult-themed commissions, citing policy violations and unusual activity.
This follows Stripe’s recent move to block lewd projects on Kickstarter.
Private companies are enforcing stricter content rules that go beyond legal requirements. Many independent creators are forced to find alternatives like crypto.
@Zythria Crypto is just a way to facilitate this. There are 2 things you are asking, the middle process trust and the traceability/bannabiluty. These 2 are on the 2 ends of the spectrum. It's a trade off. To put it simply you have 2 options:
@Zythria First of all, read and understand monero protocol. Second, it's what decentralized and peer to peer exchange is for. Which news flash by your metric everything in the world is trackable but guess what cryptocurrency is still the one with the least capture surface.
@Zythria Bannable by ID is only possible by centralized exchanged that is beholden to anyone who pays or have sway on them, decentralized exchange peer to peer means literally not bannable
@Zythria Trackable by who? Use custodial and decentralized exchange, for crypto being blocked is the same symptom, it is literally the big payment can bribe the govt. It's not a bandage solution, decentralized exchange is always the end goal. Any solution that's centralized is not.
