@WSTownCrier ‘Shakir Rehmatullah, founder and president of Markham, Ont.-based Flato Developments, was behind three successful requests to remove land from the Greenbelt in Markham and Whitchurch-Stouffville last fall, according to the province's integrity commissioner.’
@WSTownCrier Oh, k, does this mean, tiny $15,000 a year small businesses need to claim themselves as a town business, even though it’s literally a hobby… while TWS raises property taxes and can’t fix the Main Street for businesses to thrive? Cool, shady business as usual from TWS 👍🏼
@WSTownCrier Money should be spent, FIXING THE MAIN STREET, so that some BUSINESS can thrive for once. Lower the rent on Main, bring some TAX DOLLARS in for once!!!! Every other Main Street across York Region is gorgeous. Stouffville’s is only getting worse….
@WSTownCrier It is quite obvious that his goal would be stand at 10th line and pour concrete all the way to McCowan, And North to Cherry st, while holding developers hands, and he’s only ever backed that. He Cares nothing for the environment or wildlife, only for the money he receives.
@WSTownCrier@Timberbank For a short while, residents themselves were configuring a way to propose, perhaps a “one way street” deal around the lake. I’m not personally saying it would work, however it was to control traffic from using the Lake Road as a bypass. Less traffic is Desired!!!!!
@Timberbank@WSTownCrier Yes, and most of 48 North were very used to the travel into Town or to Aurora etc. Years into this project, any residents of Ballantrae that were “pro” this dome will regret their decision. And as I can gather not many agree now.
@WSTownCrier@Timberbank I believe, Sherban, Kroon and Upton were against the Dome in Ballantrae, 3 were for (I don’t know who) and the mayors vote took favour of it. I dunno what Smith did? He should care considering the eyesore his course will endure.
@Timberbank@WSTownCrier If residents of Aurora via Industrial Parkwat complain about the extra traffic, why would anyone in Ballantrae and Musselman’s Lake want the added volumes? Especially in an area with more Greenspace than Industrial?
@Timberbank@WSTownCrier The Original post is suggesting the route around Musselman’s Lake via Ninth Line… it’s horribly dangerous and needs ZERO extra traffic. The other two routes via 48s round-about and Island Lakes bend are also unfavourable.
@Timberbank@WSTownCrier It’s easy to agree with development in areas that shouldn’t be developed when you have several personal acres that will remain untouched.
@Timberbank@WSTownCrier You live the the Ballantrae Area? So not Musslemans Lake? There have been several cars that have gone off that side of the lake right into the water. If you are saying that’s not a dangerous road, how about you ask School Bus Drivers about that.
