@SynthPotato Modding is suppose to be supplemental income, if everyone charged modding would be completely unobtainable. Peoples mod collections are hundreds of long, paying even $5 for each mod would break the bank.
People who choose to make their mods free pave the way for those who charge
@SynthPotato It doesn't need to be "free", you get paid per download on mod sites. It's not as much but it's still income, plus you will get money from optional donations, or even access to early builds if CDPR allows that (they probably do)
As a modder, I despise modders like this.
@Simon_Hypixel Ex: For stone, a cracking sound, it sounds more cracked each stage.
The next part is in your ballpark to create audio that is pleasing to hear, but that's the idea, breaking things into stages makes an action feel less tedious & more satisfying.
Great work on HyTale Simon.
@Simon_Hypixel You can DM me for a full list, bu suggestion is instead of having consistent mining sound, add 3 block stages; when a block is 33% broken, an audio que plays, and then again at 66%, then 100%, but the audio gets progressively different, signifying the block is more broken.
@Simon_Hypixel So we need better mod management / QoL; such as ability to download & create presets we can select (aka modpacks)
& a 'global' mods section in the main menu for basic/simple client tweaks.
@Simon_Hypixel Yes but in it's current state it's not great. Once the game gets larger and modpacks release, being able to sort through a preset/folder of mods per world would be better.
Furthermore, the current system doesn't allow for client side mods on servers, only what the host selects.
@devranue@kiaran_ritchie@TimSweeneyEpic You're not showing that information is what's harmful, but only that social media is - which is most likely from the algorithms or the design of the apps (designed to maximize dopamine & retention, such as reels).
Those are seperate issues.
Politics brings out the worst of these traits since many people's political views aren't seen as preference but rather a fight of good vs evil. Therefore, you are evil to them because you don't support their narrative, and the result of that is attempts to excommunicate you.
Saw reposts of this article on Reddit, comments were eating it up
I thought they were just falling for clickbait headlines, so I tried explaining what was actually said
I got downvoted severely for doing that
These people do not engage in good faith, they just want to ruin you
@pcgamer This is a vile lie by PC Gamer. I criticized a government official for pressuring Apple and Google to block a speech app owned by their political opponent, deplatforming 500,000,000 users on the pretense of stopping a small number of users from distributing disgusting content.
I know this because I attempted nuanced, civil discourse & was met with strawmans, they were extremely disingenuous
The internet is hyperbolic & rules on mob mentality. When an enclave of people dislike you, they will construe all your actions in the most negative light possible
@YoungbloodJoe@just2red@Pirat_Nation Admins will either ban you for a silly reason themselves, or at the behest of their powermods under vague rules that don't even apply to you, Reddit is a major bloated corrupt bureaucracy basically; protecting their culture & friends, no care in the world for fairness
@YoungbloodJoe@just2red@Pirat_Nation Reddit admins ban you for that. My account is permanently suspended, all because I criticized AC shadows, a mod from r/PCGaming banned me from the sub, then contacted the admins to ban me, they did.
Same thing happened with the r/Art user. Powermod reported him, they suspended
@Hexalyse@SamaHoole Irony would be saying forgo conventional treatment & rely solely on diet... theirs data showing going into ketosis helps, but it's not a cure.
Diet btw & being healthy in general is apart of ensuring your body has the resources & vitality to survive the treatment.
@The_One_Boom Not incomplete, theirs enough COD players to find a match in a good ping range. The matchmaker simply prioritizes skill more than ping, hence why the lower skill accounts gets better ping. This is discriminatory towards good players by degrading their connection quality.
@xpertfusion3@Raseti4 This is still the same SBMM system with queue times weighted more, skill bracket is largely the same, this isn't similar to classic matchmaking + they removed the term from the modes description: https://t.co/bMdukZDNlW
@InsiderGamingIG Ace's video is good but it only tests queue times & ping. Theirs a more in depth study on Open Matchmaking in BO7 here: https://t.co/bMdukZElbu
@charlieINTEL "Minimally" is a vague word used for marketing, that studies have shown is extremely similar to their regular SBMM matchmaking
Only noticable improvement is faster queue times by 25%, but ping & skill remain very similar to "Standard" playlists
