A Discord bot turned trading terminal I built. Started as a college project in April. Eight weeks in, it’s reading $SPY, $SPX, and Mag7 structure in real time and catching moves before I see them.

Been ultra busy this week, but I was able to test out a new feature on Icarus this week. SWINGS. Every single 1dte/2dte play went over 100%, with $META in particular pulling off a 5x overnight.

Now I can walk away and let Icarus work it's magic.

A new Icarus update went live today, and now contracts are tracked automatically.

The update also accidentally filtered out an $SPX 7500P alert that closed at $17.40 from $3.30 (+427%). Still working out the kinks.

Today started as a quiet green day, with $SPX drifting higher all morning. Then a put alert fired at 12:13 and SPX started tumbling. By 1:44, this contract was up 436%, $10.95 to $58.80.

Days like this are why Icarus exists.

Quick note about what the goal behind Icarus actually is.

It's not to start a signal group. I'm not here to post entries and have you follow them.

Right now, if a retail trader wants to learn how to trade, the options are bad. Most of what's out there is either a scam or a signal discord server with a sketchy win rate.

Meanwhile, learning to trade on your own takes years of screen time and most people go broke before they ever get consistent profits.

Here’s the part you'll rarely hear gurus in the day-trading space say out loud: I’m not a good trader. That’s mainly why I built Icarus. Despite this, the bot has a higher win rate than I do, and I’d rather trust mechanical reads than my own judgment under pressure.

A bot like Icarus barely exists in the retail conversation. I’d seen maybe two before I started building mine. Meanwhile, institutions have had something like this for decades.

But I think we can close that gap. The same way AI collapsed the cost of writing and coding, it collapses the cost of a quality trading tool. In other words, retail is catching up.

Icarus is me building and showing my work in public. My data sources are free and the bot trades its own alerts. I don’t need to be near a computer for any of it to work.

Ideally, this will be the option for every retail trader. And with brokerages like Robinhood and IBKR allowing Agentic trading, I think this is only the beginning.
