Should banks be able to freeze/restrict customer’s accounts without a court order? Is the funds in a customer’s account covered by the right to moveable property?
My latest discourse (link below) explored this.

When I get some headspace/airspace soon, I hope to do an exposition on how another “omission” in the codification of the LFN enabled banks, including the CBN, to freeze/restrict/ citizen’s accounts without a court order.

If you’re still relying on Harka v Keazor or Cameroon Airlines v Otutuizu as your Trump-card authority in Aviation litigation, you’re wrong.
Very wrong!
I finally got round to watching this. So refreshing to watch. The guys speak so well and marshall such reasonable points. I enjoyed it. Sound quality also, top notch! 👌
This is a really great concept. 👏👏
And a cautionary tale to side chicks, careful, lest you're shanded.🫵
On the occasion of Nigeria’s 27years Democracy celebration, I spoke with TVC News @tvcnewsng on the dangers of continuous sabotage of the Nigerian “Democracy” by Politicians.
I hope they listen before it’s too late. Happy Democracy everyone.

“As a judge, it means I might be more permissive of lawyers within such range.”
The operative part of the whole post.
Like Elijah told his servant, there is a sound of abundance of rain 😁
I understand colleagues who took a firm exception to the style adopted by Mr. Badmos here. They have good reasons, and I agree with them.
My guess is that Mr. Badmos probably picked that approach from a senior lawyer. Maybe even a silk. I have seen such like twice, but the dynamics are always different. That is why one needs to look at everything one learned or saw and determine which he would fly with and which he would drop.
An advocate must possess the skill to persuade. It is an important tool in our bag. However, I would never explore the option of commenting on a judge's physical outlook. The courtroom does not allow that. My brief is not in that line. And it is just odd, in my view. I'd advise any lawyer not to try it, too. There's just something "line crossing" and subtly contemptuous about it.
Their erudiction, hard work, firm stance, patience, punctuality, guidance, gentleness, and attention to detail, among others, are there to form one's basis of commendation. A judge possesses at least one of these qualities.
A judge may be temperate enough to allow comment about their appearance, but it is not necessarily because they appreciate it. There are judges who won't rain fire on younger lawyers because they understand such colleagues are still at their infancy at the bar. For instance, I have the habit of not going full firepower against younger counsel because it seems unfair, except they've demonstrated that they can stand it. As a judge, it means I might be more permissive of lawyers within such range.
One of the things I pay attention to in other lawyers is their courtroom language. I've learned a lot from it. It has always helped me to spot languages that are not courtroom worthy. One day, we were in court when a counsel told the court: "That's what we are saying, if you have read our process..."
I grunted to my colleague: "Not courtroom language. Maybe there is no pupillage." Or the very senior lawyer who kept calling my lord: "Madam," and everyone in court was correcting. We left, and he mentioned that he was just trying to explore the courtroom aspect of practice.
Finally, nothing more should be read into what Mr. Badmos said and his intention than the genuine goal of having his matter proceed. Sometimes, we mean well, and that should count.
ONE DAY TO GO 🙌🙌🙌

Electricity supply has been terrible since May. I just had to pack my bags and run away from my house.
This government has failed woefully in the power sector.
