@JREEEEE9@SecDuffy@POTUS I dunno. New York is different to Trump from what I’ve seen of him.
Probably because it’s where he made his millions into billions.
@Republicans Oh you know what, actually very clever of the GOP here.
You called it the Secure America Act to get people to think you already got the Save Act through.
Not a bad play, Speaker Johnson, let’s see if it works out.
@esjesjesj Defamation is hard to prove in court. You have to prove your life was threatened or damaged by comments made by someone else.
The Johnny Depp one is a good example, Amber Heard's comments got his whole life upended.
@AGlavkoverkh Remember when Trump howled into the wind "Stop the Count!" back in 2020?
That. Democrats are more likely to vote mail in or or early while Republicans vote day of.
@HunterRoderick_@atrupar If it addressed those two main issues, but pushing the deadline to the end of 2027, as well as allowing driver's licenses to be proof of citizenship, I wouldn't have any issues.
While I would be fine, many of legal voters would suffer as a result of this.
@HunterRoderick_@atrupar First, every person currently registered to vote, will have to appear in person to re-register to vote. This would be fine if we weren't 5 months from the midterms.
Second, Driver's Licenses don't count as proof of citizenship in 45 states, so you'd need a passport or BC.
@MCarbonaraFL Would need an amendment. It’s in the constitution folks, states are in charge of elections in their own state, including federal elections.
You can not like it, but that’s what the founding fathers decided.
@ShaneCranium@elainejgodfrey Depends on where you are at. Like in Eastern MD where there is a bunch of farmland, no, you'll see trucker caps at most to block out the sun.
But out in the great plains where it can get super windy? Where all of the ranches are? More likely to see a cowboy hat there.
@HunterRoderick_@atrupar 70% support Voter ID, including myself.
We don't support the hidden goodies the GOP through in the Save ACT.
Worst part is, you probably know this and won't acknowledge that asterisk.
@TheCalvinCooli1 So they've have to prove a connection or something?
Don't get me wrong, I'm on Sullivan's side here (the one currently in office), but something like this is bound to have happened before right?
@SenSusanCollins 5 out of the 6 of these just imply you've been in Congress for too long, and 1 of them ends in January next year after the next congress takes over.
@DougJonesMafia Because it comes across as a smear attack (which it is), and people don't like that.
People don't care about personal scandals unless that scandal directly affects them.
@MikeNellis There is a problem with that for them, especially Ken Paxton.
According to Trump, the economy is in its golden age, and for them to run on it not being good right now would speak negatively of the Big Orange.
After all, he thinks Democrats made up the word affordability.
