5yo explains to me that plants need nutrients, but they don't get them from eating.
"You have to water the dirt so they can get nutritientsions from their roots. And then we can have rainbow flowers every day. But not at night. Plants sleep at night, that's called photosynscious"
Good fucking lord the absolute SHOCK at the idea that a fat person might have like...a normal and even nice personality.
(Just a real tw for fatphobia on these screenshots! This review was clearly written by someone who doesn't see fat people as actual humans)
As long as you’re working against your brain, you’re prolonging your suffering.
All the medication, coaching, tips, routine, none of that is helpful if your goal is to behave as someone without ADHD.
Again, behaving neurotypical isn’t a realistic goal.
Interesting to note how many students regret going into education. Because the US has made the most noble profession completely inhospitable and even the most passionate people can't sustain it.
Our kids deserve better.
Analysis: Nearly 2 in 5 American college graduates have major regrets.
That is, they regret their major.
Almost half of humanities and arts majors regret their choice — and enrollment in those disciplines is shrinking rapidly. https://t.co/rwzh7tM5PA
What a quiet, powerful piece by @PaulCrenstorm in @SugarSugarSalt_ "We’ve just, in the way of men, fallen out of the language of love, and reverted to sayings that keep us from confessing what we feel."
That doesn't mean you are not an artist. It doesn't mean you're done, or failing. It means you need to rest and tend to other areas of your heart and mind for a minute. You'll be back. ❤️

Today I learned that the reason horses were historically favored as work animals over mules is not because they are stronger or have more endurance--mules win out in both categories. It's because horses will do whatever their humans ask of them, even to their own detriment.
Horses will literally let people work them to death. Mules won't do that. They know their limits, and they will stop where they stand to rest rather than let a human cross their boundaries.
