OUTSTANDING JOB, OFFICER! A New Mexico cop stepped in and protected a voter's rights when poll workers refused a man a ballot over his MAGA hat.

The man was denied even though it was not a presidential race.

New Mexico law restricts political clothing only when it names a candidate or issue actually appearing on that ballot.

People at the site held their ground and called police.

When the officer arrived he reviewed the situation, confirmed the man was within his rights, and made sure the ballot was issued.

That is the job done correctly: enforce the law, not the preferences of the poll workers.

One officer refused to let a legal voter get turned away. That is exactly the standard every American should expect at the polls.
