Yesterday I autographed a copy of The Town Beyond the Trees for someone for the first time. It felt as surreal as it did amazing. I don't think feeling that legitimate is something I'll ever get used to.

@LadyBrooklynn I use them frequently, as most people don't speak in a series of complete sentences. I think those forms of punctuation, when put in the right place, can convey the tangents that we naturally take when speaking. They give character to your writing.
