I don’t know who needs to hear this this January but: the body is not a project. Your body doesn’t exist to be in photos. It not the “before” waiting for the “after”. You don’t need to objectify the body in order to to look after it. Personify it. You wouldn’t be here without it.

For the past two years I have made an origami butterfly for every woman killed by a man in the UK. @K_IngalaSmith was the woman who collected the names and numbers. She has been counting for 10 years from today.

It's 10-years ago today that 20-year-old Kirsty Trealor was stabbed to death by Myles Williams.
Kirsty's death was the catalyst for Counting Dead Women. I've been thinking about her a lot over the last few weeks. What an awful waste and end of a young woman's life.
