@Primary_Pianist I wrote a book called "another witness of @primary_pianist " where you admit that your tweet was wrong. Good thing I can put words in your mouth just by saying so.
@BasedMikeLee Mormons are not followers of Jesus Christ. You've given the name Jesus Christ to what you believe, but it isn't the Jesus Christ of the Bible. Jesus is the one and only God that ever has or will exist. The book of Mormon is fan fiction of the Bible. It's not cannon.
@jasoninthehouse If you don't believe that Jesus Christ is the uncreated God of the entire universe, one in being with the Father, then you do not believe in Jesus Christ you just gave that name to a different person.
@BasedMikeLee Loving the LDS has nothing to do with allowing them to identify as something they are not. If you love a transgender person you tell them their belief about their gender is wrong. We can love the LDS, but calling them Christian is like being forced to use Trans pronouns.
@MikeCrapo Mormons do not believe in or preach the Gospel they reject Jesus's teaching and are therefore not followers of Christ. They do not believe in the Trinity which is a requirement for Baptism, so their Baptisms are invalid, and Baptism is how you become a Christian.
@MikeCrapo LDS are not Christian, they are polytheistic. You can't believe in other God's and call yourself Christian. They believe that God the Father is a created being. Muslims believe in Jesus, that doesn't make them Christian. Christianity requires belief in the Nicean creed.
@BasedMikeLee I have read large parts of the book of Mormon, not the entire thing. What I read was absolutley NOT Christian, and it is quite obviously fiction masquerading as Revelation. Especially given the context of the story of Joseph Smith who was VERY obviously fabricating "inspiration"
@gateless_zen@BasedMikeLee@conservmillen Christian does not mean "Christ is enough" your points are otherwise good. Christ means "anointed" and Christian means "those who follow the anointed."
@efdouglass@BasedMikeLee@conservmillen@grok This makes Mormons both polythesitic AND dualistic both of which disqualify LDS from Christianity which is fundamentally and intrinsically monothesitic.
@TomWiermann@BasedMikeLee@conservmillen Every Christian believes in doctrines not found in the Bible. This is a bad test. There are so many other good reasons Mormons aren't Christian.
@emonkey79@BasedMikeLee@conservmillen Correct, they believe that Jesus was the physical Incarnation of St. Michael, and they rewrote the text of the Bible in order to support that false doctrine.
