“The happiness of your life depends upon the quality of your thoughts” Marcus Aurelius is trying to convey that a person’s happiness is determined primarily by how they think, not by external circumstances.
The nature, discipline, and moral quality of one’s thoughts shape how events are perceived and experienced. If thoughts are rational, virtuous, and well-ordered, life feels content and stable; if thoughts are negative, irrational, or uncontrolled, life feels unhappy regardless of outward conditions. According to him, happiness is an internal state governed by the mind, and improving one’s thoughts improves one’s life

The athleticism shown by all of these Thoroughbreds and the skill and courage of these jockeys - Jose Ortiz on the inside, Umberto Rispoli in between and Flavien Prat on the outside - is incredible.
To be able to maneuver 1,000lb+ animals, going 40 mph, is simply amazing and incredibly impressive.
Even the actions of Jose Ortiz, whose horse was beginning to tire, showed great safety skills.
What I find most impressive about these amazing jockeys, outside of showing such athletic ability, is the cognitive ability they show in making split-second decisions while trying to win, and showing tremendous poise to maintain safety and avoid a tragic situation.
It’s sad that with all this perfectionism and ingenuity, we also want the jockeys to count, in their head, the number of strikes made with a soft crop…because the leadership in racing today is more concerned about bullshit perception than applauding and celebrating the amazing skills of both these equine athletes and our courageous, skilled jockeys.
The Commish has nothing but love and a world of respect for all you jockeys!!!!!
❤️🙏💪
Yes, You have been with me from birth; from my mother’s womb You have cared for me. No wonder I am always praising You! - Psalm 71:6 NLT #VerseOfTheDay
I rejoined Twitter for a fresh start from the content I was following on my previous account. It's that same vibe in life, too. Something happened this Easter. A transformation. I'm listening to the good stuff from my past, like "Life" by @BECKAHSHAE to reinspire my past life.
