We are excited to host the Chess Mahakumbh, an International Conference on Social and Educational Chess from 14 to 16 January 2026 at our campus. Organised in association with the International Chess Federation and the All India Chess Federation, the conference represents a historic first for India, bringing a global platform on social and educational chess to a university campus.

The event will witness the participation of eminent leaders from the international chess fraternity, including Mr Arkady Dvorkovich, President of FIDE; Padma Vibhushan Shri Viswanathan Anand, Deputy President of FIDE and five-time World Chess Champion, along with world-renowned grandmasters, educators, administrators, and researchers.

With delegates from over 40 countries, more than 80 participants from India, and over 5000 players taking part, the Chess Mahakumbh reflects KIIT’s commitment to promoting chess as a powerful instrument for education, social inclusion, and intellectual development at a global scale.

Konfidant – The flagship corporate mentoring program of KIIT School of Management - KSOM, is scheduled for January 17, 2026.

It is a unique mentoring program that connects MBA students with industry stalwarts throughout their academic journey. Each mentor guides a small group of 10–12 students through long-term engagement via email, messaging, and calls, offering continuous feedback and industry insights. This initiative equips KSOM graduates with the skills and exposure required to be industry-ready

Congratulations to our KIITian Kabir Hans for making history as the first player from Odisha to enter the ITF M15 semifinals.

Kabir delivered a remarkable performance in the quarterfinals, defeating Russia’s Timofei Derepasko in a thrilling three-set match: 1–6, 6–4, 6–2, showcasing exceptional grit and comeback spirit.

The tournament, held from 17th–23rd November 2025 at the Kalinga Stadium Tennis Centre, features top national and international players with a total prize purse of $15,000.

His determination and exceptional performance reflect the sporting excellence KIIT stands for. Best wishes for the semifinal match.
