@BeckyIB@GicolaLane Yes it was wrongful and i’d currently under appeal . And at the time I was expelled, I was not even formally convicted. That’s the point.
It’s unprecedented for child molesters, cokeheads, pill mill docs with incestual relationships and medicare defrauders to serve in peace while others are expelled for being unapologetic about their passion to lead.
Just like many chose to believe the sensationalism of the media regarding my trial (against ALL common sense) They chose to believe that my expulsion was handled justly and stood by in complicity. Whether you admit it or not, that’s why we’re here in this moment.
Yesterday confirmed that I’m living proof that it’s never the message. It’s the messenger. People assumed I was pleading my case in my expulsion for my own selfishness when my problem was that they were setting this very precedent but Black folks couldn’t hear above the noise.
Representatives Justin Pearson and Justin Jones, two African-American men, were expelled from the TN General Assembly, but Representative Gloria Johnson was not expelled. This is racism at its highest level. If you were not concerned before now, you should be concerned now!
