A source familiar confirms to me that Vice President @JDVance and Second Lady Usha Vance will travel to Salt Lake City, Utah, today to pay their respects to the family of Charlie Kirk.
They will no longer travel to NYC for the annual 9/11 commemoration ceremony.
Vance was close personal friends with Kirk and posted this eulogy overnight:
INBOX: Sen. @JohnCornyn says the FBI has granted his request for federal authorities to assist Texas law enforcement in locating Texas House Democrats who fled the state over the Republican redistricting plan.
The Marines deployed by President Trump to Los Angeles last month in response to protests are leaving:
"With stability returning to Los Angeles, the Secretary has directed the redeployment of the 700 Marines whose presence sent a clear message: lawlessness will not be tolerated. Their rapid response, unwavering discipline, and unmistakable presence were instrumental in restoring order and upholding the rule of law. We’re deeply grateful for their service, and for the strength and professionalism they brought to this mission." – Chief Pentagon Spokesman Sean Parnell

President Trump with a long post about Jeffrey Epstein this morning:
"[Democrats'] new SCAM is what we will forever call the Jeffrey Epstein Hoax, and my PAST supporters have bought into this 'bullshit,' hook, line, and sinker."
Many of Trump's current supporters remain furious about his administration's handling of the Epstein case. They refuse to believe the Justice Department's repeated claims that Epstein died by suicide in 2019 and that he didn't possess a "client list."
A procedural vote remains open on the floor of the U.S. House because Republicans don't yet have enough support to start passing President Trump's "Big Beautiful Bill."
One House Republican tells me it's going to be at least another hour and that the president is making calls to holdouts -- this member guesses there are now between 10-12.
This member also floated the possibility that Trump could visit the Hill to ramp up the pressure campaign, but the White House has not advised anything about a trip to the Capitol.
Quite a visual:
Construction crews have started to remove Black Lives Matter Plaza from downtown Washington, DC — just north of the White House.
The two-block mural was created in June 2020 during the nationwide protests over the murder of George Floyd. It became a permanent installation in 2021 and had accompanying street signs.
DC Mayor Muriel Bowser announced last week it would be removed because the Trump White House didn’t like it and “we can’t afford to be distracted by meaningless congressional interference.”
Her decision came one day after Georgia Republican Rep. Andrew Clyde introduced a bill to strip federal transportation funding from DC if the mural wasn’t painted over.
After a tense meeting at the White House with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President Donald Trump posted the following statement on Truth Social:
President Donald Trump, on Truth Social, says the tariffs on Mexico, Canada, and China will go ahead as scheduled on March 4th. Reciprocal tariffs will go into effect April 2nd.
