There were weeks that tested me mentally, weeks full of bugs I couldn't figure out, and weeks where I wasn't sure I'd get everything done in time.
But I pushed through, and I didn't give up. And now I'm on the other side of it, incredibly proud and incredibly grateful.
...a retrospective looking back at everything that changed since Week 1, my completed hours log, and my personal site published and live.
My capstone projects are currently under review, I hope they get accepted soon. I'd be keeping you all posted.
...complete with setup instructions, an architecture overview, my eval results, and an honest section on where and how AI tools helped build it.
The last piece was pulling everything into one final package: an index linking every deliverable from the entire track,...
Week 7 of my internship, and this one had a bit of everything.
I got into 3D on the web for the first time, building a rotating globe that shifts colors as it spins, and added it straight into my capstone project.
It was a useful exercise in seeing my project the way an actual audit tool sees it, not just how it looks and feels to me.
Between the 3D work and the audit, this week pushed me to debug more independently ....
To close things out, I submitted my capstone project for a design review with another colleague. I asked the two hard questions first, then I sat with the feedback without defending it, sorted it into must-fix versus nice-to-have, and got to work fixing what mattered most.
I didn't post week 6, so...
Week 6 of my internship, and this one was all about the details.
I built an interactive button component with a full state lifecycle: idle, hover, loading, success, and error, each one flowing into the next with intentional motion.
It's a small piece, but it taught me a lot about choreographing UI feedback so users always know what's happening.
I also set up testing with Vitest and React Testing Library, wrote component tests for my highest-risk UI, and added a Playwright end-to-end test for the flow.
Week 5 of my internship, and this one tested me.
On the AI fluency track, we were introduced to AI automation, and I built my first automation project. It was genuinely interesting, and they gave us all the resources we needed to pull it off.
Even then, I ran into a stubborn bug that took hours to debug and fix.
It was frustrating at times, and honestly, there was a point I felt like giving up. But I learned a lot this week, and I'm still deeply grateful for the experience, difficult tasks and all.
