Microsoft has officially updated the Minecraft: Java Edition system requirements for the first time in 17 years.

The new recommended specs are:

-16GB of RAM (previously 4GB)
-A 2020-era CPU or newer, such as an Intel Core i5-12400 or AMD Ryzen 5 5600
-A graphics card like an NVIDIA RTX 2060 or AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT with around 6GB of VRAM

The minimum requirements have also increased. Microsoft now recommends at least 8GB of RAM
