A first year (yes I know he coached the Titans) and a second year head coach just faced each other in the Super Bowl and yet I’m supposed to believe LaFleur can get the Packers there in year 8?
Anyway, congrats Seahawks! At least my wife picks successful teams
I mean, they were never going to pay him what he was owed on that contract. But why claim him when you only played him 1 snap in the playoff game? My team is so inept it’s sad 😭
Like collapsing against the Browns and Panthers? Or losing the final 4 games of the regular season (with another collapse against the Bears)? Or blowing an 18 point lead in the playoffs against the Bears again?
Not sure what else couldve gone wrong for them to make this decisio
According to a league source, it would've taken something "very significant" happening this season for Packers first-year president Ed Policy not to offer Matt LaFleur an extension.
More intel here on the how and why of Policy extending the head coach: https://t.co/7wxq3TTbtr
Absolute joke. I stand firm in saying Green Bay will not win a Super Bowl with him as coach. Regular season merchant with ZERO significant postseason success.
The Packers and coach Matt LaFleur have agreed to terms on a multiyear contract extension, sources say.
After extensive talks, the sides agreed to a deal to keep LaFleur in Green Bay, where he’s 76-40-1 with six playoff trips in seven seasons.
Boooo.
As a Packer fan I can say they will never win a Super Bowl with him as the head coach. Doesn’t have the killer instinct. Refuses to make adjustments and waits way too long to move on from obvious problems on the team.
But hey! He wins in the regular season!
@BruceIronsNFL They were up 21-3 at half! He choked. Stop coddling him and realize they can’t win a super bowl with him as head coach. He doesn’t have the killer instinct
@packers I know you’re just the admin but please pass on my message that Matt LaFleur should not be the head coach of this team next season. Also go get a real kicker and special teams coach while we’re at it.
