At #IYD2026, Lanji Ouko-Awori, Managing Partner at Crevit Mulier & Co., AWLN Diaspora Consortium Youth, Peace & Security Lead & Co-Author of the Pan-African Youth Framework Report on Youth, Peace and Climate Justice, highlighted the critical role young Africans are already playing in responding to water insecurity, climate change and conflict.

Grounded in consultations and dialogue with youth-led organizations across more than 15 countries, the Framework calls for youth to be at the heart of sustainable climate, peace and security interventions, not only as participants, but as leaders and drivers of solutions.
