First step is to remove the felt my parents installed to protect the hardwood floors. I don't know what adhesive they used back then, but it's taking a session with a hammer and putty knife to remove it

I brought the old family table back with me after I drove back to Ontario last summer to visit my Dad. It has the original finish from the mid 70's. It survived a family of 5. Now to learn how to refinish an old claw foot table.
