Voice barely a whisper, muted by the tremble of emotion. Arms tighten around her as his nose buried itself in purple locks.

He could feel his heart as each beat grew louder and harder, replacing the former ache with a new, much happier one.

His chest rose as he took a deep breath, slowly releasing it as he felt her in the crook of his neck.

A click of the tongue, as she draws herself close—head finding the crook of his throat. A familiar ache no longer poisons a belly, beckoning to what was missed.

The good doctor allowed his head to drop down further, kisses now being left over ever but of skin on Nadia’s neck he could reach. Occasionally his teeth would nip at the skin, leaving little love bites.

Purposefully staying behind just to admire her, a smile adorning his features as he ran after. His own boots clinking as they met tile.

There is a clink, clink with each step of heels meeting the marble. Fingers curl into the sides of her dress, to sneak the hem of fabric above ankles.

Her laughter is sweet.

Her smile. Her delicate finger, motioning for him. The way her hair swayed as she ran.

No one needed to say more as he was well on his way, chasing after his beloved countess.

The wind is their company. It sings and sings, as she crooks a finger and beckons to him.

So she runs.
