It's been a day of having to debunk more myths. Someone suggested to me that the reason Gypsy Traveller children were stolen from their families, was on account of the parents being unmarried. Not the case. Part of a national policy.

Just received a letter from a clan chief - typical hysterical ramblings of self-denial - to the effect that people of my surname were not classed as 'Tinkers'. Odd, then, to say the least, that I should have been born into a 'Tinker Experiment'. Another one to deal with...
