My son is Autistic, and he is obsessed with hockey arenas, not hockey, hockey arenas. He wants to visit one every weekend, then comes and draws them for hours at home.

it is absolutely part of the game, players get injured and sometimes they get injured again and again. players don’t quit because they get injured, because they understand that it’s part of the game. it gives and it takes.
@morgslifes no for real, it’s so crazy to me that so many just think of them as a part of the game like
this wasn’t a dirty hit, it was a very unfortunate collision but that doesn’t mean there was malicious intent. if it was what you say it is then there would be players going after matheson.

these days they’d probably call the game better than most officials
it actually does make them less of an athlete as it is a league down from the nhl. if nhl players didn’t consider it a lesser league they wouldn’t work as hard to stay/go back up.
since the ahl is being discussed i just want to remind everyone that it’s also a professional league! and its perfectly normal for players to be sent back and forth from nhl/ahl+ even echl. that doesnt make them any less of a professional athlete, we should be celebrating the ahl
