I hope that since they take on the 'Dark Hadou' story along with Ryu and Ken's story, they move on to more about fighting Shadaloo and M.Bison in the possible sequel.
The Streetfighter movie is loads of action-packed fun, with callbacks aplenty to the SF2 Animated Movie and the original Van Damme film. The casting is on point, with everyone looking the part and obviously having fun with their roles. There are action scenes throughout the 2-hour running time, including a lot of high quality animated scenes that serve mainly as flashbacks. The film is mostly light-hearted but is mindful to let moments of drama or heaviness stew. I wish there were more big setpiece battles and fights between certain characters, but perhaps we can get that with a sequel, which this film is quite open to. All in all, I left the theater smiling and I say, give it a watch you may be pleasantly surprised. I will say seeing Justin Wong and Maximilian added to my enjoyment, but that's cause I'm a fighting game oldie.
Just came back from watching the Streetfighter movie. Still processing lol. First off, the cast was great, I loved everyone, casting was good to perfect in terms of looks at least. The action was hard-hitting and a lot more grounded than I thought it would be- nowhere near as campy or over the top as the first SF2 Live-action, but still the movie doesn't take itself too seriously, which is good. But unlike MCU films, at least it lets dramatic moments stew without feeling the need to always throw a gag in. It's a fun watch that I think is very much geared towards fighting game and SF fans, but simple enough for normies to watch. It does end with sequels in mind, which I hope they do somehow. I had fun! :)

Our own take on Poison Ivy, reimagined in a painterly animation style. Would you watch the rest of Batman's villains get the same treatment? who should be next?

Oh sh*t...this is top tier...
It's over. We're just gonna make our own stuff now.
You can't look at this and tell me you didn't feel something. And that's all that great media needs to do to not be "slop".
It's so sad to see Dead or Alive 6 Last Round have such a dismal, dead player count on Steam, but Tecmo did it to themselves by trying to have players spend again on an already failed game. The only thing keeping this from being a Concord-level failure is that there was clearly not much effort or budget put into the game and also, well... nobody but a few fans care about DOA anymore.
That hideous rendition of 2B in Dead by Daylight was intentional. They made one of the most recognized sexy female characters in gaming look like a cross-dressing man. Another example of the Uglification of Female Characters Trend among Western Game Devs. No gamer of right mind will buy this crap, the world knows about this and has had enough of it.
Just my opinion, but I don't like how they aged up Pai in the upcoming Virtua Fighter. Streetfighter 6 does it fine with Chun-Li, who is easily in her fifties. The new VF's visuals are inferior to both SF6 and Tekken 8, which is not surprising- VF has never had the best character models, its forte was always about the impactful animations, the grounded fighting and polished gameplay.
So Fatal Fury City of the Wolves is really doing the Guest Characters from anywhere, the latest being Reina from Tekken 8. With characters from anime, manga, other fighting games- hey, maybe they'll do something like King of Fighters All-stars did years ago.
Just five or so years ago, none of this gender politics and identity silliness existed in games, making for games that gave true enjoyment, wonderful memories and unforgettable stories and characters. This current era of games needs to be forgotten and moved on from. Franchises can be remade, bad games banished to the bin of obscurity. People need to stop being woke and start waking up.
Gears of War: E-Day is another big case where we can say with confidence that the Western AAA gaming industry has changed tactics.
Instead of celebrating and rubbing the whole DEI agenda in our faces, they're now trying to hide it in absolutely ALL of the game's promotional material, giving the impression that it will be a politically neutral title.
Halo: Campaign Evolved was like this, Saros was like this, and Marvel's Wolverine was like this for most of its marketing campaign too.
Even though Gears of War: E-Day hasn't launched yet, I can already see it will be the same, and I'll go further: GTA 6, The Witcher 4, and many other titles from the Western AAA industry will be like this from now on.
It's their new strategy for putting DEI in games while not losing sales.
How do we fight it? Well, it's actually very simple: don't preorder games. Wait until you have as much information as possible about a title before deciding to buy it.
I know that isn't easy for many people, especially when you're dying to play something you've been waiting on for a long time, but it's the safest way to fight this today.
I've been really busy the past few days, which is why I've been missing from X.
But I'll try my best to keep up with Gears of War: E-Day. I'm not sure if I'll play it on day one, because I don't have Game Pass and I don't want to install that awful Windows Game Bar and Xbox app just for this, and I absolutely don't want to pay full price for this game on Steam.
That's it. Vote with your wallets, today and always.
