The Lumen Lab has its first spin-out!
#Ryme is a new start-up based in Nottingham, developing next-generation #climatetech for
@ARIA_research. We’re still early stage, so watch this space!…
Amazing stuff! Looking forward to seeing what the programme can do!
Our own @PalavaNet will be working one of the projects here. More details to follow...
Today, we’re announcing funding for 27 teams who will work together to define + detect the earliest signs of climate tipping points through our £81M Forecasting Tipping Points programme 🌎 (1/3)
Really excited to be starting this journey with @RAEngNews!
I'll be based in @TheLumenLab@UniofNottingham researching satellite laser communications while helping to make ultrafast global internet a reality.

Looking forward to seeing what we can do with the data!
Friends, Romans, countrymen, lend me your cochleas!
Thank you to @KevinFWebb for lending us his brain for MRI scanning and @rebecca_penguin for her MRI wizardry.
Looking forward to using this valuable data for helping to develop the next generation of cochlear implants.
Congratulations to @beamingviviene for receiving the "Best Student Prize in Instrumentation" from the Worshipful Company of Tin Plate Workers for her work on high energy lasers while at @RutherfordApLab and @CityUniLondon!
We're hiring! The Lumen Lab at the University of Nottingham is looking for a PhD student to work with @PalavaNet developing a miniaturised optics module for wearable monitoring of key biological variables such as blood oxygen.
