@FmrRepMTG It is time we get foreign lobbies Out of our government anyone caught taking money in exchange for service of another nation should be tried for treason
@littlejoeward I fully understand all of these points you’re making But if you think the increase in prices are solely to do with the printing of money, then you’re sipping on that Kool-Aid way too hard and to say the median wage is out pacing cost is a wild take
Every company that replaces a human worker with a AI or robotic machine should have to pay a tax to offset that loss of income because what happens when 50% of U.S. workers are replaced unable to reenter the workforce. With the inability to make money how can they purchase the products this AI Robots are making or is the plan to
let them starve off.
@ZeinerDaine Yeah, but you wouldn’t you like her to be a plan in place For the biggest financial transition in human history or just people lose everything it is what it is
@ZeinerDaine If it affected 95% of the population populations, ability to work and earn a wage then yeah but this isn’t apples to apples see if you keep up the same energy when you or people you know start losing their jobs on mass
It is different now take fast food, for example, used to create deals and bargains for consumers try to lowball each other, which is no longer the case each one raises prices had a pretty steady rate and it’s no a logistical or production increase cost. They just figured out they raise prices people still pay equals record profits that’s the real reason. For rising prices since Covid.
I think you’re thinking of this in a philosophical overview of the situation. How ever ,The real world is a little bit more brutal and if tomorrow you were laid off in price out of the market because of cheap mechanical labor or even a marketing job and are replaced by an AI working program for example and so were millions of other Americans month by month at a increasing rate maybe as a result of an AI breakthrough you wouldn’t have time for society decide if we’re using money anymore. We just have no money than what do you do most Americans are living. Check to check as is and companies are going to think about the shock it would have on the market they would just be thinking about the savings and cost in production and maybe it wouldn’t have a negative effect on them they could just export the products and sell in foreign markets of less developed countries regardless you would have millions Americans unable to earn income with electric payments house payments car payments enable to pay. I just think we need to start thinking about scenarios like this and not get caught off guard
This line of thinking is no longer compatible for today’s market. There are no competitors anymore major of industries are monopolies now an AI is gonna further that gap. you’re thinking about this like it’s 1990s and 2000s when there was multiple companies in the industry that is no longer true after Covid companies realized they could just price gouge cause people don’t have options. They have to pay it.
@littlejoeward I’m sure they’re all gonna be some new jobs, but I don’t think you’re comprehending this year. Mass of people that are gonna be unemployed.
Is there any pattern or trend in the last 20 years that would lead you to believe that to be true? Just because somebody on TV said that doesn’t make it true you have to look at real life experiences and patterns draw your own conclusion and I’m looking around. I think you’re way off.
Which means we’re the ones play 12 these things built meanwhile, the companies make all the profit and tax breaks then gaslit by politicians saying we can’t afford things like affordable healthcare, or any kind of assistance. The government act as if we don’t have enough money meanwhile giving it all to corporations that underpay their employees and make record profits, then steal, employees, tax money I’m all for capitalism, but that’s not what this is anymore
@HpDeeds Yeah, I would be cool with the data center tax as long as it’s not used as a Excuse to raise everyone’s property tax and then give the companies a tax loophole cause the government loves to do that kind of shit
