@PatMakesRPGs I wish we had more technical contraints. It drove creativity that just feels missing in modern games. Everything just feels homogenized these days
@PatMakesRPGs I don't get how difficulty is becoming a selling point for a game. Difficulty should be an expression of player intent, not part of the marketing package.
@PatMakesRPGs Philly fans aren't mean, they are demanding and have high standards. You don't have to be amazingly talented but you have to give full effort and have great passion.
@PatMakesRPGs I think this why PS1 RPGs will always be my favorites. They existed in that crossroads of eras between old school design and new age cinematics that just made you feel like you were getting the best of both worlds.
@PatMakesRPGs You should look into it a little. I was surprised to find it has some of the spirit of the old FF games. Heavensward and Shadowbringers were two particularly good arcs. Also it has the best villian in the entire FF series, which I never would have expected.
@PatMakesRPGs Game Dev Question: Why do devs seem to prefer nerfing builds instead of buffing other builds to create more viable options? Seems like in a live service game having more options would create a longer runway than a narrow meta. Am I missing something?
