Reception loved their Polar Workshop. They learnt about prehistoric polar animals & got to see fossils, tusks & teeth close up. They had a photo shoot with a wolf. Then penguin time, they made them, saw them live & even got to be them. To finish off they saw the Northern Lights🐧

Duckling update day ten today the boys were very excited because the ducklings went for a little paddle. The boys loved watching them whizz around and even got a little splashed themselves as the ducklings zipped past them 🥚💦🦆#ducklingfun #LifeatthePrePrep

Duckling update Day Nine after the weekend the ducklings seem to have really grown not just in size but also in curiosity. They are also making their cage very wet splashing around with their water 🦆💦 #splashingtime #ducklingfun #LifeatthePrePrep

The boys had an amazing time with Thomas Docherty @TDIllustration this morning. He drew characters that he has illustrated, read to them from his books and showed them how to draw a Snatchabook while they all had a chance to draw one #BookWeek2020 #youcandoanythingifyoupractice

Duckling update Day Three we have four new arrivals at the Pre-Prep. Two of the ducklings hatched this morning and are in the incubator. Our other two ducklings hatched earlier and are in the brooding cage, happily cheeping away 🦆🥚#eggxtremelyeggxcited #LifeatthePrePrep

Reception were very excited to see our new visitors at the Pre-Prep today, we have 5 duckling eggs that we will be looking after for the next two weeks. We are looking forward to them hatching!!!! #eggxtremlyeggxicted #Lifeinreception

This week has been Bear week 🐻 in Reception. We began the week by reading Biscuit Bear by Mini Grey @Bonzetta1 which the boys loved! In Literacy they created Biscuit Bear circus posters and this afternoon made their own biscuit bears to eat 🐻🍪 #Lifeinreception #Learningfun

They came to a cave and found one shiny wet nose, two big furry ears, it's a BEAR!!! 🐻

RE have been on a bear hunt in cosmic yoga today. They have been the big dark forest holding tree pose🌳🌲, they have squelched and squerched in mud and they were a swirling whirling snow storm❄️🌨️ Until .....

Year 1 tried three different ways to melt ice. They found that hot water worked the fastest. Then they wrote up their findings and drew pictures of their observations. #thebestineveryboy
