$GME blow up was not “natural”, it was completely manipulated, plain and simple. — Imagine if when Tesla began its parabolic move, all the brokers refused to let anyone trade options on it (no hedging) and forced your only right as to “close only”. It would have tanked / dropped.

What this exposes: moral hazard that exists in structure of offering “free trades”. That’s your choice as a brokerage, I paid multi thousands in commissions for years, win or lose... *now catch is I can’t pay commissions but you’re going to pick & choose what I can trade & when?!

It was alarming enough yesterday when the brokerages couldn’t handle trades & then eventually suspended opening various risk (hedging) positions that would have assisted in managing positions... now the brokers are deciding what stocks can be bought or not?! <— How’s this “okay”?

There is “MORE” market cap and impact from every tick a company like AAPL moves in a second than these companies that happen to be blocked impact. You can’t regulate every $1-$5-$10 stock and then make exceptions like Tesla trading at these levels is fair or normal... bad look...
