@elevatingEBP I’ve been in Ortho, in a DA state for nearly 10 years and this is fairly common practice post-op. It just means the doc wants to be updated regularly and involved in the POC. I’m just happy when I don’t see US or ionto circled and requested.

@elevatingEBP In the end, this script says eval and treat, ROM, strengthening, HEP, and gait training. Great, that’s ideal for Ortho PTs in this situation. You don’t have to do everything they check on the script.

@elevatingEBP Often times, there is a scheduled follow up with the surgeon in that time frame where a re-evaluation is performed and more PT is ordered. It doesn’t necessarily mean PT is done at that time. Perhaps it adjusts to 1 visit a week with a focus on HEP and strengthening progression.
