Nah, I’m all for this one. I think Matt Walsh has the right take on it, excuse the paraphrasing, I’m trying to remember. It’s something like, public executions used to be held in the town square, people who were wronged got justice, and those contemplating wronging others saw a deterrent. If you have been proven beyond a shadow of a doubt to murder, rape, harm children, you’re supposed to die.
Gov’t having this monopoly will never change. So, in this small aspect of it, we should direct it at maximizing the amount of punishment evil receives. I’m ok with that.
My in-laws are fucking rockstars dude. I couldn’t ask for a better village. MIL will even take the kids to their practices if we need her. It makes me jealous because my mom isn’t closer, but if she was, she’d be helping too. Kids love the fact that they can call and just ask to come over and hang out, not go out and buy me stuff, just exist and hang out with their grandparents.
@KyleMatovcik Surprised, no. Disappointed, yes. But I don’t fault my friends and family who thought that he was hamstrung at every turn the first time and liked how he had better cabinet picks. Even I was hopeful after Ross was freed. But yeah, it’s new boss, same as the old boss.
@MentalityAcidic@LPNational If that was the point they were trying to make, I wouldn’t disagree. But it’s not. It’s a cheap straw man. They’re literally doing the meme.
@KyleMatovcik Recreational marijuana was a mistake. So was legalizing gambling to the point gas stations and every bar in my home town have machines with zombies sitting at them. Neither are a net benefit to society. I voted to legalize it where I’m at and regret it.
