For 20+ years, every British pundit and every British manager would openly call for arsenal to be bullied and kicked off the pitch.
Nobody would give a shit about rules and nobody cared about player safety.
The reason no arsenal fan should even entertain any bullshit from rival (and wannabe rival) fans re refereeing or playing styles is because for nearly 3 decades, this used to be normal service every week in England.
And then, the media would call them weak.
Arsenal had a game in a title race in which VAR quite literally didn’t draw the lines for an offside goal, causing them to drop points.
We can go on about what Man City got away with alone last season that isn’t documented in the article if you like?
Or do you want to talk about how you’re weeks away from being found guilty on your 115 charges, making all your achievements literally won via cheating?
I’ll wait.
The ultimate sin of this platform and of many others in the online space is that you come across all types of content, articles and one sided "journalism" that can be passable for complete and utter drivel. We can even go to a combinations of words that better suits the lingo of our times such as: "utter wank" or "complete bullshit".
Your piece Oliver, somehow finds its way to even lower levels. It borders an ignorance and a stupidity that should make oneself question his ability to produce further work in this field.
I'll speak on behalf of my football club, Manchester City, who's been publicly humiliated, flogged, judged, a criminal before any judgement, taken to the cleaners as one might say, and been nothing but victimised and attacked by individuals such as yourself, the legacy media, Sky, TalkSport, The Athletic and almost all media spaces in the UK.
For years we've had to endure one sided commentary, unprofessional behaviour, libel, lies, machinations, for nothing more than being successful. It's their turn now.
You expect us as fans to "support" Arsenal, a member of the infamous red cartel, a club that's done nothing but work against City through various manipulations, tactics and pressures, a club whose fan base have been at the forefront Rodri's public humiliations during his injury, a fanbase that had referees take their children to safehouses, that wished death upon Gundogan's unborn child, that clapped and sang alongside their institution for a rapist for years and called him a great/good person.
A club that got gifted a title through the most egregious decisions on record, & for ruining almost all that's decent about our game this season alone?
A club whose display in a European final was by far the most embarrassing anti-football i've personally seen in 28+ years of watching this imperious sport.
So no mate, I, and i'm sure many others will never lend my support towards any of them, be it United, Arsenal or Liverpool, when most of their fanbase's dreams are equal to the destruction of mine and ours.
Football didn't change, you all did.
@IamBalhamMatt What the fuck are you on ya dick. I went to Highbury with my older brother who was a Gooner when I was 5 haha. You are the exact thing you are accusing others of.
@IamBalhamMatt I went to my first game when I was 5 and been european, and home and away. I didn't choose my club either. Just feel it's hilarious you're talking about fans south of the river supporting arsenal when you chose a club in a different part of the fucking country. 😂😂😂
