First proposed in 1853, Rubha Reidh Lighthouse did not shine its light until 1912. Its story includes a supply tramway, generations of keepers and a remarkable rescue during a 1944 storm.

The bridge was designed by Ove Arup & Partners and built by Morrison Construction. It has become an icon of the #NC500 and its unique design has seen it win several awards! Happy 40th birthday! 🥳
