With the #football#WorldCup Quarter Finals approaching, it makes me wonder if todays footballers would cope playing in these leather football boots from the 1940s. They're heavy, hard, with no comfy insoles & the studs look quite lethal. Would they cope?

More items for my school days collection. A 1960s leather satchel with back straps & a teachers board rubber that looks like its scored a few direct hits on pupils in its day courtesy of a sadistic teacher.

A few new arrivals for my collection. Two 1950s school books with beautifully embroidered covers & a 1940s/50s schoolboy cap & blazer badges. All in excellent condition. More items will be joining these to form a school section of the display.

Thought I'd cheer my old suitcase up. A few vintage style stickers really make a difference. Looks great now. Inside are Pelham puppets, Sooty & Sweep, roller skates, a growling teddy bear, Janet & John books & more. This children's suitcase is always very popular. #nostalgia
I had a very enjoyable afternoon with my collection at a care home in East Yorkshire this week. There were lots of memories & lots of laughter. It really was a lovely way to spend an afternoon.

Been having a rummage and found Mum & Dad's engagement, wedding, first anniversary & new home cards. The cards are from 1969, 1970 & 1971. I love them. So retro. #vintage#retro

My Christmas tree is up at Beverley Minster East Yorks. The tree is retro/vintage. From crepe paper crackers & paper baubles, to old Radio Times & John Noakes lighting the Blue Peter advent crown & more in between. If you can, pop along. 150 trees are on display til Sun 14th Dec
I have quite a few old magazines in my collection, but this Coronation Street magazine is a favourite. It was published in 1970 by TV Times to mark the programmes 1000th episode. It has some brilliant photographs of legendary Corrie characters.

I made this recently. Using sewing items from my late Grandma's sewing box. The oldest thing is the Felix the cat wool winder from the 1920s which belonged to my Great Grandma. I'm really pleased with it. It's a popular item on my display.

After over 100 yrs, this little album needed some TLC. With some book binding glue & a little patience its back together again. It was passed down to me from a family member & dates to pre ww1, with entries from ww1 until the late 1920s. It really is a true treasure.
