Today’s Where the Song Lives belongs to The Glitter Rebel and Dancing is My Backup Plan. ✨💃
Some days start with a plan.
Then the coffee spills.
The toast hits the floor.
The phone dies.
The weather turns.
And the universe looks at your little list and says, “Cute.”
That’s when this song steps in.
Dancing is My Backup Plan is about choosing a little joy when the day goes sideways. Not pretending everything is perfect. Not forcing positivity. Just deciding that if the plan is already wrecked, you might as well turn the music up and move through the mess.
Plan A can fail.
Plan B can be questionable.
Plan C can absolutely be dancing in the kitchen.
Sometimes resilience looks suspiciously like a ridiculous little dance break.

Today’s Where the Song Lives belongs to The Electric Belle and Six Strings and a Bad Idea. 🎸✨
This song is for those nights when common sense calls…
…and you let it go to voicemail.
Not because you’re doing anything truly reckless. Not because you’ve lost your mind.
You just heard a guitar through an open door, somebody mentioned a backroad, the band sounded too good to leave, and suddenly your perfectly responsible evening developed a plot twist.
Sometimes we spend so much time doing what we ought to do that we forget there’s room for a little harmless foolishness too.
A loud band.
Good friends.
No real plan.
Enough gasoline.
Snacks, obviously.
And one gloriously questionable idea that becomes the story everybody is still laughing about years later.
Tomorrow can come looking.
Tonight belongs to the guitar solo.

Today’s Where the Song Lives belongs to The Honky Tonk Honey and Boots Before Boys. 🤠✨
This one is for every woman who knows that a good pair of boots, a favorite song, and a little confidence can take you a whole lot farther than waiting around for somebody else to make life interesting.
Love is lovely.
But so are big dreams.
Backroads.
Friday nights.
Dancing until your feet hurt.
And knowing your own worth before anybody else gets a vote.
Boots Before Boys isn’t anti-love.
It’s pro-you.
If somebody wonderful comes along and can keep up, fantastic.
If not?
The band is still playing.

Today’s Where the Song Lives belongs to The Housewife and Lipstick Before the Laundry. 💄🧺
This one is for the days when the laundry mountain is judging you, the coffee is doing its best, and somehow putting on a little lipstick feels like a perfectly reasonable act of rebellion.
Because ordinary life doesn’t have to be dull.
There can be music in the kitchen.
Fresh sheets dancing in the breeze.
A little twirl between chores.
A tiny victory when every sock finally finds its mate.
Sometimes making the day brighter isn’t about changing everything.
Sometimes it’s just choosing a little joy before you tackle the basket.
So yes.
Lipstick first.
Laundry second.
Coffee absolutely involved.

Today’s Where the Song Lives belongs to There You Are Again. 📷
This song came from that simple, familiar feeling of looking up at the moon and finding comfort in the fact that it’s there — not offering answers, not asking anything from us, just quietly lighting the dark.
I love the way moonlight can make ordinary things feel softer. Rooftops, trees, fence posts, garden stones… suddenly everything looks a little gentler.
Sometimes we don’t need a sign or a reason.
Sometimes it’s enough to look up and think…
There you are again.

Archibald, Keeper of Dust and Ancient Melodies
Long before houses had electricity, every home had a tiny spirit.
Some tended fireplaces.
Some watched over gardens.
Some kept mice away.
Archibald had the most unusual job of all.
He watched over forgotten things.
Whenever a book was placed on a shelf with the promise, "I'll read that someday," Archibald quietly smiled.
Whenever an old photograph was tucked into a box, he remembered the names of everyone in it.
Whenever a child's favorite toy was packed away in the attic because they'd grown up...
He stayed.
He believed nothing that had once been loved should ever feel abandoned.
So, while the years drifted by and the dust settled around him, Archibald played his little wooden recorder.
Not for people.
For the memories.
The songs weren't loud enough for human ears.
They were just loud enough for old books to remember the hands that once turned their pages.
For rocking chairs to remember laughter.
For trunks to remember journeys.
For wedding dresses to remember dances.
For handwritten letters to remember the warmth of the hands that wrote them.
The dust that swirled through his wild hair wasn't ordinary dust at all.
Every tiny speck held a memory.
A birthday.
A first kiss.
A goodbye.
A Christmas morning.
A rainy afternoon spent reading by a window.
When Archibald played, those memories danced for just a moment before settling peacefully once again.
Sometimes, very late at night, someone walking through an old house thinks they hear a faint recorder drifting from the attic.
They pause.
Smile.
And suddenly remember something they hadn't thought about in years.
Their grandmother's perfume.
The sound of a screen door.
Their childhood bedroom.
The family dog.
They never realize why.
They simply whisper,
"I'd forgotten that."
And somewhere above them...
Archibald smiles.
Because that has always been his purpose.
Not to haunt old houses.
But to make sure nothing that was once loved...
Is ever truly forgotten.
