Steve Kerr says it makes no sense for the Warriors to trade away their future for Steph Curry:
“Do we throw away our entire future to build around a 39-year-old Steph? He turns 39 in March, right? Does it make sense now to throw away all those picks? Hell no.”

The Warriors gave projected win total this season of 36.5...
How bad is that?
The Jazz & Wizards are projected at 35.5 which means the Warriors are not a playoff team👀
We take a closer look at why odds makers don't believe in Steph Curry's team anymore🏀
Steve Kerr suggests he, Steph Curry, and Draymond Green could all leave the Warriors together:
“I signed for two years and I can’t see myself walking away after this year, but it feels now like there’s some shape to this thing. There’s some clarity. I could see this ending where Steph, Dray, we all leave around the same time. I could see that happening.”

Steve Kerr:
“Our fan base might have been thrilled if we had traded five firsts and two of our better players for one of the big fish. They might have been happy for a year and they might have been miserable for the next decade if it backfired.”

Tyler Herro has denied sending "aggressive" or "inappropriate" texts to ex-partner Katya Elise Henry amid their ongoing court battle, per @TMZ

Steve Kerr says the Warriors expect Jimmy Butler to return around February:
“Jimmy is one of the great winners I’ve ever been around. And so our team knows we’re going to get him back sometime later in the season, hopefully sometime in February. It could be the exact opposite of last year. Last season we lost him in February; this year we get him back in February.”

Shams:
"Steph Curry will never be on the move. Steph Curry will be retiring at Golden State Warriors whether he's playing 19 years, 20 seasons in the NBA, he's going to be there for life."
Draymond Green is picking Jalen Brunson to win MVP this season
“I’m going to go Jalen Brunson.… he's the type of dude that's convinced himself all summer that like 'they don't respect me, and I won a championship, and they still don't respect me'”

Negotiations between the Portland Trail Blazers and local officials over Moda Center renovations have hit a major impasse, per @billoram
• City officials put a $1 billion+ price tag on the team’s "first-class" lease condition if they decide to relocate.
• Trail Blazers owner Tom Dundon reportedly "went crazy" after hearing the number and slammed the door on scheduled meetings.
• Dundon only agreed to a face-to-face meeting after local investor Jeff Swickard sent a private jet to pick him up in Chicago.
• Dundon is seeking a 10-year buyout option, while state legislation requires a 20-year commitment.
• The state’s $365 million funding package expires if a lease deal isn't approved by the end of the year.

Damian Lillard says being waived by the Bucks after tearing his Achilles was the darkest moment of his career:
“The darkest day was when I was hurt and got waived. It wasn’t a matter of, ‘Am I going to get an opportunity?’ It was just like — it was a possibility and a thought of mine. ‘Well, do I just sit the year out and not be on the team and just wait until next summer when I’m healthy, and then go and visit teams and just work out for them and whatever and try to figure it out from there?’ What do you do?”
