@four77one @CryptoWill821@mattmedved @cryptocratsNFT Definitely happy to check your project because of the interesting talks we had here! Smart-shillin' here ;)
@four77one @CryptoWill821@mattmedved (follow up to previous reply)... or they bought later, when bored apes were seen as the ultimate representation of NFTs. Basically I think almost anyone in the NFT space would like to have a BAYC - so I'm not sure the art is what drives most of the buying decision ๐ค
@four77one @CryptoWill821@mattmedved I like reading that.
I think tho that bored ape is not very representative of what's going on today in the space. I guess people that bought bored ape were either the first in the space (so the excitement of "being among the firsts" as well as not much to compare it with)...
@four77one @CryptoWill821@mattmedved I agree, the art is what stops us & makes us want to learn more. The team & the vision is what convince us to buy. And many times, great teams create great art. Or maybe we tend to like even more the art once we see that the team is great? Maybe also if there's social proof.
@CryptoWill821 @four77one @mattmedved But I'm really not convinced there are that many projects of the first type. Do you have any examples @CryptoWill821 of projects that only sell art and nothing else (not even a community that is actively being built around a theme)?
@CryptoWill821 @four77one @mattmedved Then I would say there are 2 types of NFT projects:
- those solely focusing on delivering digital art (and nothing else!) -> in this case utility = art as there's nothing else
- those building more of a brand with the NFT being a "pass" to getting access to perks (ROI being one)
@nassyweazy@mattmedved I very much agree! And that shows NFT founders that they have to focus on building an experience rather than just thinking about the art.
Sure the art plays a major role. It's probably a major part in why people relate to the project & the community - but it's not everything imo.
@mattmedved How about "the art can be the utility"? But the utility can be something else than the art.
Have you never bought something you didn't visually like, but you really wanted to be part of that community/have access to a specific feature that seemed valuable to you?
Hey #NFTs nerds! Quick survey: announcing a utility pre-mint is a must/nice to have for a successful mint?
I'm thinking about @loserclubreborn that had a successful mint without really talking about utility. Are they the exception to the rule?

@Freddo1802 Hi Freddo, do you want to tell me a bit more about what you're looking for? Are you an NFT founder? What are the Marketing-related questions that you have?
If you feel more comfortable dropping me a DM please do.
@ashh_eth I followed you for your "ask for a collab" thread. I like to have people that share valuable insights like these. Please keep those coming! ๐
@halcyonnone agreed. This will help bring NFTs to the masses. Twitter is where today's NFT enthusiast are, but Instagram is where big budget brands are + where most of the people are (IG = #1 downloaded app of Q4 2021). Big budget + NFT + big audience = mass adoption is coming.
