A Thread on what I personally would see the indy Welsh state structured.
1. The parliament, I would see the Welsh Parliament in a bigger more imposing building such as those in Cathays. I would see a 150 - 210 MS lower house with a 75 - 90 member Upper chamber.
@DPJHodges By taking out legitimate terrorists targets in a manner that limits civilian casualties. Israel can do this and have done it before. Bombing hospitals and refugee camps is not the answer. Now my question to you is what can the Palestinians do to defend themselves?
@tfwrail I've seen a sign at ponty station that it will be part of the penalty fare zone. What happens when like this morning the ticket machines are down at the station you got on and the train is so overcrowded the conductor has no chance to get through. Would you still fine?
@LauraJ4SWEast She is not a man. She was identified as FEMALE at BIRTH but has a genetic disorder that gives higher testosterone stop promoting lies! It's so unconservative to belittle a woman because a health condition.
@AndrewRTDavies Sorry mate but from what I've read she was not a "biological male" she is a women who was born and identified as a women lived her whole life as a women and just happends to have higher testosterone. Get your facts right
@DPJHodges I don't think so this phone call thing has been part of Kamalas brand since the phone call with Joe in 2020. I think video messages will probably come at the DNC I think your mabey reading to much Into it. Her fund rasing is strong and the polls are starting to shift.
@electpoliticsuk Probably the best option for the Tories. A sensible moderate who has more appeal to the wider electorate not just the hard right nut cases who let's be honest will have buggered off to reform by the next election anyway.
@JeremyBrookman2 That's unfortunate. Would have been nice if it could be to the expanded senedd but I suppose it does take time to make all the necessary implementations.
This level of fund raising if sustained will give her an edge In America it is usually the candidate with the $ advantage that wins While I agree with the likes of @DPJHodges that it's a long shot this gives Democrats a chance at leased of winning the house if not the president
@DPJHodges It may be enough for more populat Democrats down the ticket to hold on or win seats meaning I think there is a very real possibility the Republicans win the White House but not congress meaning trump is heavily handicapped.
@DPJHodges The only thing I would say is in America money wins elections Harris has demonstrated a strong fund raising campaign Whether the hype around her lasts or not (I doubt it will) this big injection of cash will make a material impact I dont think it will be enough for her to win but
@tfwrail So can you confirm that as of the eisteddfod the Class 150s will be fazed out? Or will they be brought back after for months until "later this year" they are old trains we've already seen the roll out of tram trains delayed. We need more capacity!
@tfwrail I am once again asking for the Flirt trains to be back on the valley lines. The 8.01 train from Dinas is packed with standing room only. 2 carriages is not enough espically when at any given time there's half a dozen flirts sat in sidings at barry and more in cardiff.
@Jeffrey62093861 I would argue it's a good practice to have a deputy first minister just like a deputy prime minister. It provides more stability in government. It's common practice amoung almost every government on the planet to have a deputy.
@Jeffrey62093861 Because just like in Westminster the first minster of government gets to decide on department titles and responsibilities In the past when coalition governments have been made the deputy first minister is also minister for Finance It's fully in the first ministers gift to do this
@PARLYapp you seem to be the go to for information on how this works at a parliamentary level. Since so many Tory ministers lost their seats do we even have a shadow cabinet? Who is going to be opposing the new labour ministers
Also @tfwrail@SW_MetroUpdates do we know when the new tram trains will begin passenger service. With a couple of exceptions most notable being Pontypridd train station the electrification has been done and I believe the wires are now live so when will we see the new stock?
@tfwrail@SW_MetroUpdates Do we know when we will see the Flirts back on the Valley Lines? There was about 2 weeks where they were here but I haven't seen any since. I was also under the impression we were to start seeing more new trains from June but we are still stuck with 150s
