@skonklord I’m in the same boat as your dad. I found out 3 weeks ago. Just be there for him and help him to make each day the best it can be. Even if that’s just making sure he’s comfortable. Right now, it’s those things that matter as he comes to terms with things himself. Stay strong.
@ATLiverpool_ World cups always bring out the best & worst of the shop window approach. A player has a good tournament and ends up being bought for ridiculous money, just look at El Hadj Diouf.
@policylaila@DonnaDlm71 Unfortunately, we now live in times where the deadliest weapon isn’t the knife that cuts, or the gun that fires, but the words that politicians use to incite division through misinformation and manipulation
@adamrowecomedy People forget what a risk King Kenny was when he took over as player/manager. No track record, no initial indication of approach or style, yet that didn’t work out too badly.
@TheAnfieldWrap@NordVPN I think we can get caught up in “what ifs” but it appears to be clear that there will be a different approach to training regimes and a difference in style.
LFC fans have always recognised players who, may not be the best, but give 100% effort. That also applies to managers.
@Carl_M79 I think it was a cultural thing, misinterpreting Dutch idiosyncrasies. It’s like saying Shankly was arrogant compared to Paisley, it’s a difference in communication
I got bad news on Wednesday, my cancer is incurable and any treatment now is palliative for the time I have left.
All I ask is that FSG make the right call and remove Slot.
Please don’t let my last memories of the club I love be based on the football and results he gave us #lfc

@AnfieldEdition This is the first transfer window in all of my 55 years, that I really couldn’t care less who we sign. Our problems are much deeper than that and looking back a year ago, we’d’ve all been happy with that window initially, but big money doesn’t automatically bring great results.
@jmarkyj It’s a possibility, if you consider it in purely financial terms as they’ve more than multiplied their initial investment. However they’re still involved in so many other sports where that same investment increase hasn’t occurred.
@ATLiverpool_ Hate to break it to you Arne, but “doing the minimum” has NEVER been the Liverpool way.
As long as you don’t understand that, you will never get this club or its fans.
@AnfieldEdition I think Slot’s English isn’t as good as he thinks. Is it possible that all this time he’s actually meant to say “we were the battered team by far”?
@AnfieldEdition It great to know that the head coach sets the standard so high that “top 5 for large parts of the season” will do.
Is that standard set on the pitch, in the gym or on the P45?
@FabrizioRomano Players get injured, that’s a fundamental part of football. Other teams have injuries and cope. We get them and they automatically become a “mitigating factor”.
You can’t say that you want a compact squad then complain when the first injury occurs. Great coaches deal with it.
@davidlynchlfc It seems that “all that mattered” this season was to constantly readjust the goals and identify more “mitigating factors” for this underachieving coach to justify such a lacklustre campaign across all competitions.
Standards MUST improve.
