I’m flattered you think the concept of Change My Mind is excellent, an improvement, and innovative, @CNN.
It's a shame you didn’t give credit where credit is due.
Change My Mind and its hundreds of millions of plays will not be used to help James Talarico ruin Texas.
CNN explicitly referred to its Talarico debate segment as "Change My Mind" no less than 10 times.
C'mon. At least pretend like you aren't overtly trying to rip me off.
Clowns.
We're suing. Not just CNN. Jubilee and James Talarico, as well.
Change My Mind is a registered trademark.
I was rejected by cable news for this exact concept. We took the risk. We paid the cost. Now everyone else swoops in with investors and donors, steals it, and profits.
Anyone who abuses the public trust or takes advantage of American taxpayers must be held accountable. No exceptions. No special treatment.
It’s time to clean up Washington and put Americans first!
This is most certainly true.
Also true: you cannot plead the 5th Amendment protection for crimes you have already been pardoned for... unless you know that pardon was all BS to begin with.
Today I finally understood something about Donald Trump that I had been missing this entire time. And when it hit me — it hit me completely. Because, look at who this man chose to surround himself with.
Not billionaires.
Not people born into power.
Not people who had everything handed to them.
Karoline Leavitt — 27 years old. Ice cream shop girl from New Hampshire.
Trump looked at her and saw something the entire world missed.
Made her the youngest Press Secretary in American history.
Susie Wiles — a woman who has spent her whole life quietly strategizing from the background.
No fame. No spotlight. Just pure brilliance.
Trump looked at her and said — you will be my Chief of Staff. First female Chief of Staff in American history.
JD Vance — a soldier. A boy from Appalachia who served his country in uniform before he ever served it in office.
Trump looked at him and said — you will stand beside me.
Pete Hegseth — a soldier who gave everything on the battlefield. Two Bronze Stars.
Trump looked at him and said — you will lead our military.
Marco Rubio — the son of a bartender and a hotel maid. Two immigrants who came to America with nothing.
Trump looked at their son and made him the first Latino Secretary of State in American history.
My wife heard all of this tonight and said, "Do you understand what Trump actually did?
He did not build a powerful administration.
He built an unbreakable one."
Because every single person in it knows what it feels like to have nothing. And people who came from nothing never take anything for granted.
Tonight, say one prayer for this entire administration. And say a bigger one for the man who chose them.
Then pass this to every American who needs to understand why this administration hits different from every single one that came before it (Jeff Roush)
@k8smate@bluelivesmtr Easier said than done. "Just do it" now involves a team of people to track him down, dealing with protesters, and likely a tactical operation to arrest.
I say the jurisdiction should honor the detainer or an official gets charged with federal obstruction.
“Your God CRIED?”
I used to say it with a little laugh. “If Jesus was God, why did He weep like a weak man?”
I mocked the shortest verse in the Bible. Years later it brought me to my knees.
“Jesus wept.” John 11:35. Two words. It should bring you to your knees.
Then I actually read WHERE He’s standing. At the tomb of His friend Lazarus. And here’s the part that undoes me: He’s about to raise him. In sixty seconds He’ll shout that dead man back to life. The victory is already loaded.
And He weeps ANYWAY.
He didn’t have to. The happy ending was already in His hand. But He looked at the grief around Him, the sisters, the mourners, the sheer wreckage that death makes of everything, and He entered it.
He let it hit Him. God, with tears running down His face, at the graveside of someone He loved.
The God of Islam was too majestic to weep. I was proud of that. Until I met a God who was strong enough to.
“We do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses.” Hebrews 4:15.
Whatever you’re burying right now. He’s not watching from a safe distance.
He’s the God who weeps at gravesides.
And then empties them. For all eternity.
Praise the King Jesus.
