@haus_dad My dude... read the card. You can have the 1/1 flyer... 3 mana for a 3/3 that can potentially cast a Swords at some point + a 1/1 flyer is the floor. The utility of being able to give them the 1/1 to be able to Swords their biggest threat is just one possible way to use this.
@RinoTheBouncer Anything Pokemon. Always the main reason I've ever bought Nintendo consoles. Enjoy other titles on them such as Legend of Zelda, Smash Bros and Mario Kart. But on the whole it's always been Pokemon that has motivated me to buy a Nintendo console
IMO the greatest to ever play the game. Even 20+ years after him dominating the game at the top level he was still achieving tops at the highest level. Multiple PT, GP wins, winner of many other events over the years, 4 player of the year awards. He is my GOAT.
Rest in Peace.
@astralsflame Ah yes 33.6% being a variation of a simic based Badgermole deck is true health. Badger needs to go. I'd also argue for Stormchaser's, Enduring Curiosity and a piece from Reanimator (Wistfullness + Deceit make that deck way too good even against heavy GY hate)
@JohnRamosMTG I'll definitely be messing around with Izzet Artifacts in Standard and Pioneer atleast. Pioneer has Emry, Steel Overseer, Ornithopter and Patchwork Automaton so definitely think there's potential there too
@astralsflame@fireshoes Been having a tonne of fun playing budget Golgari Elves in Pioneer BO1. Consistent turn 4 Nature's Rhythm for the Craterhoof kill is always fun
@MBTYuGiOh Maybe it would help if the player going 2nd gets to mulligan up to 2 or 3 cards from their hand. Either that or maybe going 2nd gets 1 extra card in hand to start but skips the draw step on their first turn. Both help increase odds of opening more interaction.
@KillerKeeWee Did you not watch the finals of YCS Anaheim? As someone who got into TCGs through Yugioh and still plays retro formats and will be picking up Genesys as other TCGs. I love this game. But modern Yugioh is FAR from the best competitive gameplay experience among TCGs currently.
@JohnRamosMTG I was all for U.B. when it was being kept to eternal formats and was targeted towards the collectors and commander communities more than anything.
@JohnRamosMTG I fell in love with this game because of the art, the characters and storytelling. It was a great game but also had all this depth that just made it all the more interesting. Now I'm building a deck and seeing my badass demon being played alongside spiderman...
@SaffronOlive Cutter and Monstrous Rage both definitely need to go. But then I also wouldn't mind seeing a ban to knock the self-bounce decks down a peg and then I'd also like to see Up The Beanstalk gone too. Omniscience could probably go too in all honesty.
@AliEldrazi You've got this expanded card pool and yet the format is still dominated by these few particularly somewhat unfun decks. And unfortunately we have to put up with them for so much longer and unfortunately it seems like not enough new cards typically of being able to contest.
@AliEldrazi I've gone from someone who really only ever played Standard and Modern during the past 10 years to someone who now only typically plays limited and occasionally Explorer... sets being in rotation for longer really does make standard feel worse imo
@TrifGaming So in Pokemon there are some pokemon cards (I think EX is the main current type) that provide more prize cards when they're knocked out. So this giving you're opponent 1 prize card when you're able to get 2 of your opponent's can be a pretty good trade off.
Calling it now... Aetherdrift will be the most impactful format on all formats in the game since MH3. Many cards that will either bolster or reinvigorate existing strategies and possibly some that could even help create new ones too. #MTG#mtgaetherdrift
