Over the course of three hours-long meetings many residents made it clear they were against the sale. Tonight the Board unanimously voted “no” to York Water Company’s $30 million and $53 million bid for the municipal sewer system.
A large crowd came out for the Newberry Township Board of Supervisors vote on selling the municipal sewer authority. Most residents are staunchly against the sale. A vote on whether or not to accept the York Water Company’s bid is expected tonight.
