🏈 Welcome to The One Bet.
Every NFL week, we research the entire slate looking for ONE bet worth making.
No parlays.
No chasing.
No forced action.
If we find the edge → we bet it.
If we don’t → we pass.
One NFL bet. Every week. Or pass.
Let’s see where this goes. 👀
@BillyGoldblum Because people like yourself put them in 10 leg parlays and complain when they don’t hit. Keeping the lights on for them and their kids fed week after week
The betting industry has sophisticated systems that track how much is wagered, where the money goes, and how unusual the betting patterns are. Anything outside normal market expectations gets flagged. If multiple sportsbooks flag the same player an investigation can follow.
These systems helped expose cases involving NBA players like Jontay Porter and Terry Rozier. That’s why match-fixing is extremely difficult to pull off without leaving a trace.
A player finishing 0.5 points below a prop line isn’t evidence of fixing. It’s often just a reflection of how efficiently the market sets its lines.
Most player prop Over/Unders are priced close to 50/50, while sportsbooks make their money through the vig. From the book’s perspective, whether a player goes slightly over or under the line matters far less than the margin built into the market
YOUR LATE NIGHT PSA to the entire betting community 🚨
Stop parlaying.
Stop parlaying everything.
Stop making alt line parlays of your favorite capper picks.
Stop making alt line parlays off of large X accounts that are not actual humans but fully fledged companies partnered with sportsbooks.
Stop parlaying what you want to happen.
Start using math. Start using models. Start betting edges. Start using your access.
Went 5-4 today for a measly +0.47 units PROFIT. Not fun by any means but gives me legs to stand on tomorrow. Stop taking out your own knees. You can’t go broke making a profit no matter how small it is at times.
Bet responsibly, build the bankroll, and if you’re in this for the long run make long term decisions daily.
Hope my fellow bettors see this and focus up. Gn ✌️ ❤️
No bet today. And honestly, I’m good with that. 🏈
The whole point is to find a number worth betting, not manufacture action every Sunday.
Enjoy the games, keep an eye on the board, and we’ll get back to work tomorrow.
2-1 on the season. The search for the next one starts now. 👀
🚨 NO BET THIS WEEK. 🚨
Went through the slate, and nothing made the cut.
Could we find something to bet? Sure. But that’s not the point.
We’re 2-1, and we’re not risking a unit just to keep the streak of weekly picks alive.
Enjoy Sunday. We’ll be back when the number is right. 🏈
Sometimes the best bet is no bet.
The more I’ve looked, this might be a week that we PASS. The fact that I haven’t been able to find a game we like after all this time in the lab says something. Not betting is better than forcing action. Will keep you updated
@TheOneBetNFL Good question! I just looked into it. CLV averaged is basically zero: -0.09 pts across all 30 (2 pushes not in record above). 13 unchanged, 9 beat the close, 8 didn't. To me that's public being off a bigger factor. Or you could say it's noise 30 games is a small sample
ROI
Return on Investment.
In simple terms, it tells how much profit you’re making compared to how much $ you’ve put into betting. Say you place $1,000 worth of bets over a period of time. After all those bets settle, you’ve made $200 in PROFIT. Your ROI is 20%
If you look at Sports Betting like a business/investment This is a very
important aspect for long term winning

@fadethepublic_x 18-10 is a solid record, but I’m curious how much of that is the public being wrong vs. the closing line being wrong.
Are you tracking CLV on these too? That’d be interesting to compare against the fade record.
@Gino_BetOpenly That’s exactly why bettors need to understand the numbers instead of assuming every loss is a conspiracy. Bad beats happen. Bad bets happen. The key is knowing the difference. Follow me, I’ll show you the way
Thursday night football 🏈
One game on the board tonight, but I’m more interested in what’s coming Sunday.
Week 7 research is still underway. A couple of numbers have my attention, but nothing is locked in yet.
What’s the one matchup this weekend you think the books got wrong? 👀
MNF tonight, then the Week 7 hunt begins. 👀🏈
We’re 2-1, and I’ve already got a few matchups I want to dig into.
Not giving anything away yet, but one game in particular has my attention early.
Let’s see if it still looks good once we get into the numbers.
What game do you want us looking at this week? 👇
🚨 THAT’S A WIN. 🚨
Cowboys-Packers UNDER 54 CASHES.
Shoutout to Golden and Watson for leaving 3 TDs on the table between them 😂 Almost gave us a heart attack.
Seriously though, one of those TDs changes the score and the game script. Teams adjust, play-calling changes, and the pace can slow down. An early TD doesn’t just add points — it changes what happens next.
📊 The One Bet Record: 2-1
💰 Season units: +1.95
One bet. No chasing. We move.
🚨 THE ONE BET IS LOCKED IN 🚨
🏈 COWBOYS vs. PACKERS UNDER 54
🎯 1 UNIT | BetMGM
💰 -105 after applying a 15% profit boost (boost-adjusted odds)
We were in the lab late last night and found our number.
No parlays. No chasing. No forced action.
One bet. One shot.
Let’s cash this thing. 🏈
📊 Season record: 1-1
When you are doing “straight bets” you need to ALWAYS bet TO WIN the unit, not bet a flat $10, $20, $50, $100 etc. You need to be able to keep a clean spreadsheet so examples:
Betting $10 on a (-130) brings you $7.69. That’s sloppy and hard to track.
Bet $13 to win $10 and have your tracking system be clean.
If it’s $100 on (-130) you’re betting $130 to win $100. You’re not betting $100 to win $76.92.
ALWAYS BET TO WIN THE UNIT AMOUNT.
It’s easier to track, you risk more but win more, and it’s the right way of doing things.
@MrGameHunter@VegasRefund Pretty obvious. Was just a question considering the average gambler using a capper typically runs off emotions rather than what you just mentioned
