@NotPro2XL Apple does an incredible job at comparing itself to itself. They don't bring in other brands or the market into their keynotes or comparisons. My family and friends know about things only because of me. It truly is mind boggling how closed in the Apple user ecosystem is.
@NotPro2XL I agree. Average consumer hasn't bought into the hype. Apple introducing the folding device may change things. I've found that most Apple users are clueless regarding the market and other brands so seeing one may make a difference.
@NotPro2XL Correct. And I won't argue with this. But your initial post was about tablets and media consumption. So if that's the use case then people like me (and many others) fit that. However, yes, most users will not use a foldable; price is certainly a barrier.
@RjeyTech I love mine. I know on paper it's very very similar to the Fold 7 but it feels thinner and better. Opening/closing is much nicer too. And it's a freaking joy to use daily...
@dbfssecret@NotPro2XL Bruh! My Samsung Fold 8 Ultra weighs 215g, while my wife's iPhone 17 PM slab weighs 233g. Mine opens up into a small tablet and it's a lot more fun to use. It weighs LESS than a regular phone. Your math isn't mathing...
@TechnicallyTee It's called preference. π I tried the Fold 8. Not for me. Love my Ultra. It's what I like... So, folks like you who brag on the 8 - is that trying to convince yourself you picked the right one? See, it sounds dumb, right?
@TechnicallyTee People who use foldables don't care. People who do not but are keyboard warriors need something to whine about even though they are clueless about usability.
@RjeyTech I agree! I wish @thinborne would figure out a way to make clear aramid cases. π€£ Only case I'll use for these and wish we could show off that beautiful purple...
@TechKingMike I've used all kinds of cases. Many are garbage. Have run Thinborne for Fold 7 all last year and waiting on the one for the 8 Ultra to come in today. Absolutely love these. Won't use anything else. Perfect? No. Best I've found? Yes.
@mattythetechy1@TechnicallyTee I've used both my Fold 6 and Fold 7 at the beach (and on one of the trips there was a good wind and sand was flying around) but was careful and haven't had any issues. π¬
@TechnicallyTee I'm on my 5th foldable. This one has the best crease. Even on the "worst" one, it's never been an issue, never bothered me, never really remembered it was there except for maybe 5% of the time when my finger would go over it or if I was at the "wrong" angle & had light behind me
@jspring86az The crease is a non issue. I don't know why so many people get, ahem, bent out of shape about it. Also, most people leaving comments have never used a foldable a day in their lives. Their opinion matters about as much as the points in Whose Line Is It Anyway...
@AnxiousHolly Not I. It's a dumb test that doesn't really prove anything. Also, I've lost respect for him as he got dumb with his idiotic political posts. Have stopped watching him a while back. To each their own.
