I’ve not heard that version of “it takes a village”, but it draws a powerful picture for sure.
And yes I agree with you when you say “stop treating your child like a person”…but what about if the child refuses to treat a parent/adult as such?
No respect? No regard for authority?
Just playing devils advocate…but this isn’t the first move of a parent with a kid misbehaving for the first time either.

I totally understand where you’re coming from, and I actually do agree with you for the most part…because that is definitely true in MOST cases.
For some reason though…I feel like this situation has gone on for too long and it’s time for some serious parenting.
This should certainly NOT be the first thing in the order of punishment…but I am pretty sure this is the result of a whole lot of problems going on without change for far too long.

I will say that I’m not perfect by any means, and parenting looks impossible at times…but…I reserve the right to be wrong! 😂

And my Grandparents (mostly Gpa's) had ZERO problem laying down the law! Especially in THEIR house!
