Changing who writes history. Celebrating diverse intelligence. Making the world smarter through our #WriteToChangeTheWorld workshops & #PublicVoices fellowships

[Vonda McDaniel @unionwomen]

Still grateful for the skills I learned from the @TheOpEdProject. A diversity of voices still matters.

At @theopedproject we work to elevate the ideas and knowledge of underrepresented expert voices.

In this year's @UofIllinois fellowship, which I co-lead with @micheleweldon, our fellows are on fire.

This week alone they’ve weighed in on …

At @TheOpEdProject Project, we believe:

✅The story we tell becomes the world we live in.

✅The world becomes more intelligent when it is more inclusive.

✅The best ideas, regardless of where they come from, should have a chance to be heard and change the world.

"I am running for Congress (Michigan's 10th Congressional District) as the son of an autoworker who grew up in the district and went to the U.S. Department of Commerce to bring jobs and manufacturing back home. I felt compelled to run because Washington, D.C. needs new leaders who stand up for everyday workers and families like mine. The OpEd Project and its wonderful community inspired me to take ownership of my voice, recognize my credibility and expertise, and muster up the courage to speak out. You realize that if it's not your voice out there speaking up for your community, it may be no one else's." - @EricYChung, #PublicVoices Fellow with @TheOpEdProject and @PDSoros
