Looking up knitting patterns for dresses on Ravelry comes up with a lot of results that are suspiciously like long jumpers. Even though I have a few bulges to content with I'm looking for something that's like no jumper I would ever wear!
@getvurbl Hello. the 'Delete my account' button on your website isn't doing anything for me. I've tried it before and my account is still there. Please can you deal with this for me? Thank you.
Y6: "Miss, will you make us a Shrek beanie please?"
Mrs Dowie: "When we get out of lockdown, Iโll make the whole of Y6 a Shrek beanie!"
Government: "Children will return to school on 8th March"

@minnetteawdean I'm impressed. I'm not sure I'll ever feel across it all enough to make a shirt. Once you've messed up fabric there's no going back, unlike knitting where you can just rip back and start again!
I've just succumbed to some sashiko thread on eBay and dressmarker's chalk for the lines. I have jeans that I've sewn up badly and a #boro makeover is just what they need. I'm going to use the ripped purple Laura Ashley shirt I loved so much.
With a forecast for cold and snow this weekend what could be better than to wrap yourself in some Cosy Cinema?
Is there something comforting about a man a jumper? @GuyLodge and #InsideCinema unravel the narrative threads of the humble jumper.
@allneedles And produce bags for loose fruit and veg. Weight and fibre not important! I once used all my 4ply scraps to make some distinctly colourful socks.
@allneedles I've been thinking earbands too - I could use them on a walk just now. Depending on weight, fibre and quantity I make washing up scrubbers and fingerless gloves.
The episode on floats in December 2018 is my most popular, finally taking over from baby knitting which was the most popular for ages! If you're interesting in hearing the whys and wherefores on floats please listen here https://t.co/79r55bPobj
@vtawesomeness Hi Jen. What an incredible 24 hours you've had! I'm in the UK and have a small podcast called The Ordinary Knitter. I'm always looking for interesting people to interview and would love to chat to you if you're interested? heather at theordinary knitter dot net ๐จ
I'm using this gorgeous alpaca and silk 4ply to make washable make-up remover pads. I've made several in different yarns. Figure of 8 CO (I do 16 per needle), inc every other row to stitch count you want, decrease ditto, kitchener graft.

We've a prize-winning pullover from a 1931 knitting contest
Made by Shetland woman, Jean MacPherson, it's such fine work she even got corns as a result of knitting the yarn!

I like Debbie Bliss' The Knitter's Knowledge - it feels like a safe pair of hands for technical stuff, like a Delia cookbook - but the index has been put together by someone whose mind works very differently from mine. I always have to be creative to find what I'm looking for.
