Some of our subseasonal models (like long-range GEFS) now extend out to the peak of the Atlantic hurricane season. Not a huge surprise, but the (record) El Niño looks to be completely dominating even at Atlantic peak climo, with rising motion concentrated in the Pacific, shear ripping across the Atlantic, and high pressure across the board. On individual members, there's no clear signal for any uptick in activity. I'm sure we'll get another few storms at some point, but all signs continue point to this being the quietest Atlantic season since 2015, and quite possibly on par with 2013 and some of the other historically quiet seasons.
