Wednesday: Press Conference: TSA to discuss holiday travel tips and how best to pack a carry-on bag for travel at Harrisburg International Airport
The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) will host a press conference at Harrisburg International Airport on Wednesday, Dec. 6, at 10 a.m. to discuss holiday travel tips and show how best to pack a carry-on bag for travel.
A TSA officer will provide an overview of what happens when a traveler brings a prohibited item to a security checkpoint; how to avoid the need for a bag check; how prohibited items in carry-on bags slow down the security screening process and several simple ways to determine if an item should be packed in a carry-on or checked bag. I’ll have good visuals for you!
Officials will be available for one-on-one interviews. TV reporters should please bring a lavalier lapel microphone.
All media will be invited to get photos and B-roll of security screening operations. This is also an excellent opportunity to get updated pictures and video for use in current and future stories related to air travel.

WHEN: 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 6
WHAT: TSA press conference focused on holiday travel and how to pack a carry-on bag.

Traveling with dentures, but lost on the rules? Medically necessary items, including denture adhesive, can be greater than 3.4oz. At security, please remove these larger items and place them in a separate bin for X-ray screening. More here: https://t.co/KLhcVdIz4t #ToothFairyDay

It’s tearin’ up our heart to say this on #GirlfriendDay but, no TSA PreCheck® = 🚩 Say Bye Bye Bye to anyone who'll slow you down. And if you’re the problem, get PreCheck. Trust us, it'll be all you’ve ever wanted… and all you’ve ever needed (yeahhh)🔗 https://t.co/vIZV2swuVL
Is TSA PreCheck® missing from your boarding pass? First, ensure your name, DOB and known traveler number (KTN) are correctly entered in your airline reservation. You’ve updated this info and are still not seeing the indicator? Contact @AskTSA for help. #AskTSA#TSAPreCheck
It’s our goal on #WorldAutismAwarenessDay — and every day — to celebrate inclusivity. When you see #TeamRDU staff wearing special sunflower-branded lanyards, we’re prepared to help you have a great airport visit, however you need it.
Traveling with an infant? Pack your liquids, medications and baby food in one carry-on bag and place them in a bin for screening. @TSA will need to test them for any traces of explosives. And yes, carry your little cutie-pie through the metal detector with you.
BREAKING: @TSA's TSA PreCheck® application program has surpassed 15 million active members, setting a new record for the program that began in December 2013. More than 19,200 people applied for membership on Feb. 21, 2023 – the highest for any single day in TSA’s history.
New credential authentication technology units are now in use at @FlyHIA. They confirm the validity of a traveler's ID and confirm their flight information in near real time, thus enhancing @TSA security. The details: https://t.co/K4iJao9IsB
A traveler brought this old chair leg to the @TSA checkpoint at @FlyABE_ recently. Unfortunately it can easily be used as a bludgeoning tool and was not permitted through the checkpoint. Warning: Dad joke ahead. They may have pleaded their case, but didn't have a leg to stand on.
.@TSA officers at @LGAairport removed four bullets that were concealed inside a bag of medicated sore throat drops at one of the checkpoints on Tuesday. Feeling sick? Take a sore throat drop or perhaps try this new remedy: bite the bullet.
Can't believe I've been named Better Homes and Gardens's Sexiest Tree Alive for 2022!

Always good to see Pete Davidson when he stop by to say hi.
Every time he swings by, he has a different woman with him. How nice of him to share the joy with everyone.
