Sending prayers and well wishes to the cities and those affected by the hurricane!!

[Stephen F. Austin State University @SFASU]

Department of Public Safety troopers are on the SFA campus preparing to assist with response to Hurricane Laura, a storm that is forecasted to strengthen to Category 4 by landfall around 8 p.m. tonight.

We welcome them to campus and appreciate their service to East Texas!

[Adam Peck @DrAdamPeck]

If the current models hold, the storm should hit Nacogdoches around 8 a.m. tomorrow morning. The worst of it should be through by 1 p.m. tomorrow afternoon. By Thursday evening, most of the rain/wind will be exiting East Texas and weather conditions should improve quickly.
